The Ronald McDonald House on Monument Avenue offers temporary housing for families with a child receiving medical treatment at a Richmond hospital or medical facility.
The House provides a network of support for families who understand the challenges of caring for a child receiving treatment. When families enter the House, they are greeted by dedicated staff and volunteers. They are the heart and soul of Ronald McDonald House Richmond and work hard to create a friendly, caring atmosphere where families can find comfort.
Opened in 2023, our in-hospital Ronald McDonald House is located inside the Children’s Tower Sky Lobby at Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU.
The House provides space for families to relax, enjoy a meal, and take a break from the hospital environment. The family-centered facility offers dining and lounging areas, four Family Sleep Rooms, a food-service area, laundry facilities, a children’s play area, and an outdoor patio.
